On Sunday May 30th Members of the KSAOH Veteran’s Affairs Committee volunteered to help The Wounded Warrior Project by helping promote The First Annual Celtic Thunder Ride. The ride was organized by Veteran’s Affairs committee member Pat Quinn with a lot of help from his wife Mary, Noel Tyler, Governor Stumpy’s and Reno Riders. VA Committee Chairman Ed Keele joined fellow Hibernians in helping register riders Sunday morning while organizer Pat Quinn got an excited crowd ready to ride. Over 50 riders traveled to Topeka to lay an engraved legacy brick at The All Veteran’s Memorial to commemorate the ride. The riders then returned to Kansas City to join the Celtic Block Party at Governor Stumpy’s.

All proceeds benefited The Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project serves to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
